The Cannes Country Club is recognized as the top golf course in the French Riviera. Ratings aside the history behind the course and the tournaments held there make it the most storied as well. The course was founded in 1923 by some of the most influential people of the region - the Price Pierre of Monaco, Aga Khan and Baron Edoudard de Rothschild. Between 1980 and 1994, the course was a stop on the European Tour and hosted the Cannes Open. Ballesteros, Woosnam, and Norman all recorded wins at this venue.Today, the Country Club stages the Cannes Mougins Masters on the PGA European Senior Tour.

While the course is private, public play is allowed. For traveling golfers, rental clubs are available. The Allis/Clark deigned course rolls through the Valmasque forest. The tree-line parkland layout is an enjoyable walk.
